For Young Children
Children are welcome in worship!
In these unusual times, activities and facilities for small children are subject to change, based on health and safety considerations.
When all in-person church activities are operating:
A cry room for those with young children is located at the back of the worship space. The Kids Corner in this area offers toys and quiet activities for small children while allowing adults in that space to see, hear , and participate in worship. A staffed nursery throughout the entire morning. Sunday School for children in grades K – 5 is offered during both worship services. Children come to worship with their families and then follow a teacher to the classroom at an announced time early in the service. Children are welcome to remain in worship with you if you prefer.
What to Wear
Dressy clothes and casual attire are welcome at Church of the Dunes. Many dress up a bit, others wear jeans. Most importantly, we hope you will feel welcome to come to worship.
When you enter the worship space, an usher will give you a worship bulletin. Inside you will find a list of things that will happen during the worship service, along with information about things currently happening at the church. You can use the bulletin to follow the order of worship. In addition, many of the prayers, song words and Bible readings are projected on the brick wall at the front of the worship space.
Communion is part of worship on the first Sunday of each month. All are welcome to take communion at Church of the Dunes.
