Classes and Discussion Groups for Adults

Sundays

There are classes and discussion groups for adults on Sunday mornings. Most of these classes explore a different topic each week, making it convenient to drop in when you can or attend each week.

Weekdays and Evenings

Additional studies and discussion groups are held during the week; some meet during the day, others in the evening. Many times, these studies work through a current book on Bible and faith topics, and include discussions and videos. There is a monthly book group that reads and discusses current fiction books (often, New York Times best sellers) that explore stories of courage, human challenges, and inspiration.

Finishing Well Ministry

The Finishing Well is a ministry for those age 55+.  Activities and events focus on five key components: community involvement, fun stuff, service projects, fellowship and support, and an annual Sacred Aging conference. The conference features experts on topics related to wellness and aging.  All are welcome – you do not need to be a member of the church to participate in the activities and events hosted by this ministry.

All are invited and welcome

You do not have to be a member of Church of the Dunes to participate in classes and discussion groups. Advance registration is requested for some classes so that instructors can prepare materials and order books.

There are coffee groups, arts and crafts groups, community volunteer opportunities, a caregivers group, groups for men, groups for women, and many more ways to connect, serve, and grow in faith.
