A Sunday morning discussion group explores a new current event or topic from a faith perspective. Additional daytime and evening Bible and book studies meet during the week. These studies use current books by well-regarded authors and explore scripture and encourage growth in Christian life. Contact the church office for the curent schedule.
There is a monthly book group that discusses current fiction books with stories of courage, human challenges, and inspiration. Another book group meets every couple of months, discussing non-fiction works about a variety of issues and topics.
The Finishing Well is a ministry for those age 55+. Activities and events focus on five key components: community involvement, gatherings for fun, service projects, fellowship and support, and an annual Sacred Aging conference. The conference features experts on topics related to wellness and aging. All are welcome – you do not need to be a member of the church to participate in the activities and events hosted by this ministry.
You do not have to be a member of Church of the Dunes to participate in classes and discussion groups.
Advance registration is requested for some classes so that instructors can prepare materials and order books.
There are coffee groups, arts and crafts groups, community volunteer opportunities, a caregivers group, groups for men, groups for women, and many more ways to connect, serve, and grow in faith.
