Special Events for Youth

Mission Trips

Church of the Dunes Youth take a mission trip every other year. These adventures lead to places in the United States where assistance is needed with teaching Bible school, clean-up and light repairs on houses and buildings, and other ways of serving others.

Super Bowl Party

Every year, in late January, Church of the Dunes Youth gather for lots of snacks and watch the Super Bowl (and the commercials) on a big-screen TV.

Pies & Strawberries Fundraisers

To support mission trip adventures, the Youth make and sell delicious pies in the late autumn, and chocolate-covered strawberries near Valentine’s Day.

Christmas Caroling

The Youth group hosts and leads the church’s yearly Christmas caroling event for all ages. Teams of carolers (singing in the key of “joyful”) visit home-bound church members and others with carols and a message of Christmas love and joy.

Out for Fun

The Youth group schedule includes pizza parties, river rafting trips, mini golfing, bonfires, visits to the trampoline center, Halloween adventures, and more.

Graduate Recognition

Church of the Dunes holds a special Sunday celebration each spring to honor high school graduates. High school seniors are recognized during worship, followed by a special reception with cake. At graduation time, these seniors receive cards and good wishes from their church family.

Special Presentations

The Children’s, Youth, and Music Ministries at Church of the Dunes team up to create and offer a very special presentation at worship on a Sunday during the Advent season, and another one in the spring.
