Leadership Training: November 2015

  • Improve teamwork and productivity

Leaders at Church of the Dunes – those who serve on committees, facilitate classes, organize programs and projects, and participate in the ministry of the church – need continual refreshment of skills, motivation and opportunities to learn together.

DiSC is a non-judgmental personal assessment used to improve work productivity, teamwork, and communication. It helps people discuss their behavioral differences. It can help participants increase self-knowledge: how to respond to conflict, what motivates, what causes stress, how problems are solved.

DiSC is an acronym of the four personality quadrants: Dominance = emphasis on accomplishing results; Influence = influencing or persuading others; Steadiness = cooperation and dependability; and Conscientiousness = quality and accuracy. We all have these characteristics and preferences among them. The DiSC helps us identify these preferences and talk with others about differences.

Gayle Cox, Kris DeVries and Kim Poulson, experienced DiSC trainers, will lead this informative, fun workshop. Seating will be limited on a first-come, first-serve basis to the first 24 who pre-register by November 1, 2015. No cost to participate, but you must pre-register to reserve your materials.
