 Children’s Ministry Vision Statement

“To provide a safe Christian faith environment for all children where they delight in pursuing a personal relationship with a loving God, and in living out compassion, respect, and love with their peers and community.”

NURSERY

Our goal is to partner with you in nurturing your child in a safe, secure, enriching environment.   We believe that church is a great place to be!  We want the time spent here by your child to be the best part of his/her week.

Sunday Program:  Our Nursery is open and available on Sundays throughout the year from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

A fun, inviting environment is provided for ages birth-5 years old.  Age appropriate toys and enrichment activities are incorporated.  The best “toys” though, are our helpers who interact with your child on his/her level.  Kids love to play, and it’s even more fun to have Helpers who play with them!

Beginners Bible Bible Friends is our bible based program designed especially for our preschool and Young 5’s friends.

All stories are told from the Beginner’s Bible.

Through out the school year, the program follows the same liturgical calendar as our CIW and adult worship.

Wednesday Program:  During the school year (September – April) nursery care is available from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday evenings.

This a time for infants up through five-year-olds to play games, see their friends and enjoy an evening of fellowship.

Help is Always Needed in the Nursery!

If you are looking for a way to live out your service to God and desire to help children, please consider the Nursery Ministry.  To get involved, contact the church office at:  616-842-7980.  All persons interested must complete an application form and have the required background check to comply with state laws.  Nursery helpers meet and work alongside others in the church who have the same passion…kids!

“… Jesus called them to him, saying, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.”
