20-SOMETHINGS WEEKLY STUDIES
We meet on Thursday evenings from 7 – 8:00 p.m. in the Ryder Lounge, and all 20-somethings (persons ages 18+) are invited to join us.
THE STORY OF GOD
Freeman shares findings on how faith has shaped our lives and influenced the evolution of our society.
No pre-reading or homework, and no need to register – join as you are able during this six-week series beginning
January 19, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.

Saturday, January 4 – Christmas Tide Party
Sunday, December 11 – Church Wide Christmas Caroling & Soup Supper
November 17 – Thanksgiving potluck and games! Ryder Lounge at 6:00 p.m. Please bring a dish to pass and your favorite game.
October 11 – Scavenger Hunt! Meet at church at noon.
Sept 25 – Art Prize – meet at church by noon (following second service) to carpool
August 20 – Walk the Beat – meet at Beechtree and Pennoyer at 1:00 p.m.
August 13 – Unity Concert – purchase your ticket online.
July 5 – Clean-up Community – meet at the church at 7:00 p.m. with a trash bag and maybe some gloves -carpool down to the City Beach or any other area that might need our attention! Hope to see you there.
June 11 – Craig’s Cruisers – Minigolf – meet at 2:00 p.m. at Craig’s Cruisers, Pontaluna Rd.

Past studies have included:
Chapters cover different facets of God by examining topics such as defining God-incidents, miracles, creation, prayer, dreams, places to discover God, ways to discover God, what to do when God seems absent, dealing with disappointment and doubt, discovering God in community, and more.
Using church founder John Wesley’s guiding principles of scripture, tradition, reason and experience, we explored what it means to live and serve as United Methodists.
Lenten Study: John – The Gospel of Light and Love
An exploration of the identity and meaning of Jesus, as experienced in a Lenten season of spiritual growth and life-changing renewal.
Discussions and chapter readings corresponded to Sermons presented by Pastor Glenn.
This study, written by pastor and author Matt Rawle, is a study of Jesus and Christ figures in films including Monsters, Inc., Cool Hand Luke, The Lion King, The Truman Show, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.
We exploref what happens when script meets Scripture, when pop culture encounters the King of kings and Lord of lords.
