Caregivers Group

Be supported, talk with other caregivers, learn a new tip or trick, and take time to rejuvenate.

Craft Circle

Connect with others who practice or are interested in arts and crafts. Each meeting features an interesting presentation by an artist or crafter.

Creativity, the Arts and God 

No talent is required. Using a variety of supplies, something different is created each time. Led by a local artist.

Family Promise Volunteers

Periodically, Church of the Dunes hosts families from Family Promise of the Lakeshore. This organization serves families seeking housing. Volunteers coordinate and host these stays at the church.

Golf

Meets on Monday mornings during the late spring and summer months.

Knitters

Knit, crochet and enjoy conversation.

Ladies at Russ’ Restaurant 

Come for breakfast or just coffee and fellowship and  laughter.  Find this group at the table near the door.

Men’s Coffee Group

Alternates meetings at local restaurants

Share in tall stories, laughter, and fellowship. All men are welcome.

Men’s Softball Team

A team is formed every spring for a 10-game season

Monday Evening Book Discussion Group

This group meets monthly to discuss an engaging novel or biography.

Morning Communion

This 30-minute service is held at 8:30 a.m. on the third Wednesday of every month. It includes a devotion and communion. The small group setting is a wonderful time to connect with God and others.

Prayer Shawl Work Bee

A welcoming group that knits and crochets items to give to those in need.

Supper House Volunteers

Volunteers from Church of the Dunes serve hot meals to guests of Supper House in Muskegon.

Wednesday Suppers

Enjoy a meal before Wednesday evening classes and music rehearsals.

For men:

Dunesmen (United Methodist Men)

Meets monthly to enjoy a light supper, entertaining and informative speakers, and fellowship.  RSVP is requested for dinner.

There are two-small groups within this group:

    Old Fogies Meets as needed year round to work on seasonal clean- up  projects, and maintenance tasks at the church.

    ROMEOs  (Retired Old Men Eating Out) A casual, welcoming and fun get- together for men.

For women:

United Methodist Women (UMW)

Hosts social and mission-focused events in addition to monthly Circle meetings. Circle meetings include a devotion, a speaker or  program, and refreshments.

In addition, there are three women’s circles that meet monthly for devotions, fellowship, special speakers, and refreshments.
