Office Administrator – Jan Blanchard

Director of Children’s Ministries

Applications are currently being accepted for Director of Children’s Ministries at Church of the Dunes. While the search process is underway, Children’s Ministry programming and activities are being ably coordinated and run by experienced volunteers.

Director of Youth Ministries – Ashley Boersma

Ashley Boersma graduated from Mona Shores High School and Baker College in Muskegon, MI.  She has extensive background and experience leading elementary Sunday School classes, plus serving as a junior high youth director with Lake Harbor United Methodist Church.  Ashley has also lived in Ohio and, while there, led both junior and senior high school youth ministries.  Her work as a …read more

Director of Communications – Carla Kocher

Carla has extensive experience working on outreach strategies for faith-based, nonprofit, and government-funded organizations. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Minnesota State University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Western Michigan University.

Organist and Accompanist – Marna Jeffery

Marna Jeffery has been a member of the United Methodist Church of the Dunes since 1967.  Prior to becoming Organist and Accompanist in 2018, she was Choir Accompanist and Assistant Organist for over 40 years.  Marna retired from the Grand Haven Area Public Schools where she was a Choir Accompanist for 17 years.  She has …read more

Director of Jubilation Choir – Carol Kirchner

Assistant Office Administrator – Shirley Chappell

Kitchen Coordinator – Sherry Baker

Sherry Baker serves as the church’s Kitchen Coordinator.  She is in charge of coordinating food preparation for special events, member activities, conferences, meetings and special food service requests.  Sherry also oversees the Sunday morning “coffee fellowship” program around worship services.  She holds an Associate’s degree in Business from Baker College.  (more…)
